Pot magnets & electromagnets

Pot magnets and electromagnets offer a lot of magnetic power and are easily applicable due to the many fitting possibilities. These are systems that have only one attraction plane, whereby the distribution of the magnetic field is prevented.

The adhesion forces indicated in the tables are the perpendicular adhesion forces, measured on a flat piece of steel 37 with a thickness of minimum 5 mm and without air-gap.
The adhesion force can be reduced significantly when the pot magnet is not used perpendicularly and/or with an air-gap compared to the work piece.


Neodymium (NdFeB) pot magnets

Neodymium (NdFeB) pot magnets have a magnetic force that is 7x stronger than that of ferrite pot magnets. They can be used at temperatures of up to around 80 °C.

Samarium-Cobalt (SmCo) pot magnets

Samarium-cobalt (SmCo) pot magnets offer the unique combination of high magnetic force and high operating temperature of up to around 200 °C.

AlNiCo pot magnets

AlNiCo pot magnets are coated by a steel pot, in between which a non-magnetisable raw material has been inserted. Applicable for very high operating temperatures up to around 450 °C.

Ferrite pot magnets

Ferrite pot magnets, also called ceramic pot magnets, are provided with a steel pot that ensures cover. Only a small installation height is necessary, and they can be used up to around 200°C.
