Plate magnets - neodymium
Neodymium magnetic plates are extremely powerful, compact and lightweight. They are suitable for separation of ferrous contaminants from 30 µm to 3 mm.
Completely stainless steel and watertight. Suitable for the food industry.
- Neodymium GSN-35, Br 11,200 gauss (at 20 °C), Tmax. 80 °C
- Capture Fe particles from 30 µm
- Manual cleaning (wipe off)
- Completely stainless steel and watertight
- Max. holding field 180 mm
Small ferrous contaminants / lightweight / food
Neodymium magnetic plates are extremely powerful, compact and lightweight. They are used when ferromagnetic (Fe) particles smaller than 3 mm must be separated. Completely stainless steel and watertight. Suitable for the food industry.
You can easily hang them suspended above a conveyor belt yourself, attach them to the wall of a product channel, or mount them under a passing product stream. For dust-tight installation against the wall of a free-fall pipe channel, we also supply neodymium plate magnets including a mounting plate and quick-cleaning mechanism (see chute magnets).
If the product comes in direct contact with the magnet, we recommend type 3; this has an extremely high field strength at the magnet yet a compact field, which also makes it ideal for capturing weakly magnetic particles, such as stainless steel scrapings. Type 2 was developed for overbelt placement or installation in a free-fall line with mounting plate.
* Note: If you are considering overbelt placement, keep in mind that the construction directly beneath the magnet must be made of non-magnetic material.

Filtering & discharging of ferrous contaminants
Cleaning of the plate magnet is performed manually by wiping, or through use of a hinged extractor plate for quick-cleaning. You can swing the hinged extractor plate away from the magnet. The ferrous particles fall off of the extractor plate as soon as they are moved far enough away from the magnet.
For plate magnets including mounting plate and hinged cleaning construction: see also 'chute magnets'.
