Sheet separators for special shapes
For special applications, for example, where there is little space, we have developed a suitable sheet separator in the form of a rod. This type is very compact and easy to place into an opening in the sheet. Its round shape also makes it suitable for special contours. These special fanner magnets have been developed for fully automated production lines, for example. But also for situations that require extra safety, such as when automatically changing steel sheets or the risk of fingers being trapped by the magnetic field.

Sheet separator operation

Sheet separators for special applications are permanently magnetic and constructed with neodymium (NdFeB) magnets. They are suitable for sheets of 0.5 to 3.0 mm thick and a stacking height of 100 mm. The magnetic field automatically forces the sheets apart and separates them one by one from the stack below. Even when they are stuck together due to oil. When the upper sheet is removed, the next one rises immediately.
Connection/commissioning
Permanent magnetic sheet separators are very easy to install. Once they have been measured and positioned in the right place, they do their job flawlessly: positioning sheet material simply and targeted or presenting it for further processing. Please note: this type of sheet separator with a permanent magnetic field is always ‘on’.

Working principle
Permanent magnetic sheet separators are available in various sizes. Depending on the size, longer or shorter magnets are incorporated. Due to the fact that the sheet metal is temporarily magnetically charged, the sheets repel each other. Since the strength of the magnet is the same over the entire length, this always happens with the same force. This way, permanent sheet separators do their work very predictably.
