Magnetic grids/grates

The square and round magnetic grids from Goudsmit Magnetic Systems filter ferromagnetic (Fe) metal contamination from free-falling, free-flowing bulk materials. The hopper magnets separate magnetic iron, steel and even weakly magnetic particles, such as those from machined stainless steel. Magnetic grates are used for applications in the plastics, food, pharmaceutical, ceramics and other industries. Several applications of a magnetic grid: in the hopper of an injection moulding machine, for protection of the installation or as final inspection of the product, often just prior to packaging.

The magnetic bars in the grates are located in the middle of the product stream and can therefore capture the smallest Fe particles, down to 30 microns. Magnetic grids with Goudsmit's most powerful Neoflux® (neodymium) magnetic bars can even capture stainless steel scrapings; these particles are so small that they cannot even be detected by a metal detector.

A good approach is to place two grate magnets in a cascade configuration so the product must contact the magnetic bars or at least pass very close to them. This is the technique we use for the Cleanflow magnets.


Magnetic grids ferrite

Provide a quick indication of whether ferrous contamination is present. Simple, with a low price; not suitable for the food industry. Manual cleaning (quick cleaning not possible).

These magnetic grids are suitable for all industries and provide a quick indication of whether even weakly ferromagnetic contamination is present. Very powerful. Quick cleaning through use of extractor tubes.
